Rest In Peace Sweet Daisy

Just like most of us women I was trying to save a innocent and sweet spirit.  As we all know, good intentions often fail.  Daisy was put to sleep today after determining she was in a good deal of pain with the mange and required a minimum of 3 additional months intensive treatment and no guaranteed she would be any better.  RIP dear girl.....

  1. I'm so sorry. There's nothing easy about making that decision, but for what it's worth, I think you made the right one. She needed someone take care about her enough to say, "This is too much for her," and I'm glad you could do that for her. Her short life was happier because she found you.

  2. Putting an animal to sleep is the hardest thing to do. I had to do this with a horse I was trying to save. But God brought these beautiful creatures to us so that they were not out there alone in the world suffering. And...your puppy dog and my horse 'got to know REAL LOVE' and spent their last days feeling this Love. But...I do still feel your pain. You definitely made the right decision.

  3. You made the right decision. If there is no cure, no relief for the pain, then that's the best thing you can do. I don't think you learned how to let go - I think you just have a sense of empathy.
